I bought this neoprene case because it was suggested by Amazon to match the fantastic Acer 1830T 68U118 laptop. It is too light or thin to provide any protection except for scratches and it is too big. Do not use its pocket to hold anything like a charger, a mouse or dvd drive because if there is a substantial bump or drop you could crack the computer case. I gave it away to someone with a Mac. After a lot of research, I bought the Caselogic QNS-111 11.6 inch which fits the computer perfectly for less than $20. It is light, has a semi-hard case, provides real protection and is still a small package. Carry your charger in another bag.

This sleeve-style soft case is great and just what i was looking for, for my Aspire 1830T. The best part of it is that it's TSA friendly, so when traveling, as long as you dont have anything else in the sleeve (like the charging cord or mouse) you can leave the laptop in the sleeve when going through security. And if you travel a lot this is important!
When I travel, I usually leave the mouse and power cord in my backpack so I can leave the laptop in the sleeve.

After my first Timeline was stolen and I replaced it I needed a new case. When I first looked there were no cases that fit a computer this size. A year later I was happy to find this case. The computer fits well not to tight but just right. The extra pocket is great for accessories but don't use it when doing airport security. When new it has a bit of a smell but just leave it propped open for awhile and it goes away. The quality seems very good. I am happy with the case. As a side line I also have the same case only much smaller for my camera. The fact that it has some stretch is a real plus when carrying extra items.
