I have this monitor next to my HP LP2475w and use the two on my setup. The 2475 is my main monitor. I
bought this ZR22w because I am a professional photographer and need a good panel that can be calibrated
for correct color.
This ZR22w calibrated very well, almost as good as the LP2475. I used the Eye-One Display2 puck and
BasICColor Display calibration software. The on screen controls are the same as my LP2475 which is great.
I was able to get excellent results-very close to the H-IPS panel in the 2475.
The actual panel in the ZR22w is an LG Electronics LM215WF2 which is an e-IPS panel (the e-IPS panels
just started showing up in the past year or so, they are a budget offshoot of S-IPS and H-IPS). This
panel is also used in the Dell U2211H.
I would certainly reccomend this monitor if you need one that must be calibrated for photo processing.

Simply put, these are probably the best IPS monitors for the price out there. I have now had two of them for a few months and have found them to be excellent monitors overall with great view angle, no ghosting issues, and good color after calibration. The adjustable height and tilt is very nice with the big base providing a stable foundation and the relatively small bevel working out nicely for a dual monitor config. I would have given them 5 stars, however, there is a perceptible color shift from magenta on the left to green on the right, a common problem faced by sub $1,000 IPS monitors. I will say, though, that after using them for a few months I barely notice the color shift even when doing photo editing work, which mostly happens in the middle of the screen, and from my research it appears that many monitors from HP do not have this problem and even on mine one is better than the other.
To sum it up, I would recommend these monitors if you are looking for the benefits of IPS in a sub $500 HD monitor, with great pixel pitch, that is small enough for a dual config to nicely fit on a desk.

The monitor is easy to set up, and in my opinion looks better than the picture indicates (probably because from a normal sitting height, the cable hole isn't visible). The plastics could be of higher quality, but the build quality is still okay. The tilt and rotate on the display feel smooth, and not overly easy or difficult. I can't really comment on how image quality compares to other IPS panels, but as compared to the Samsung 223BW (TN), it has less backlight bleed (YMMV as this tends to vary between samples), and much greater viewing angles.
The monitor comes with 1 DVI cable, 1 Display Port cable, 1 VGA cable, 1 power cable, and 1 mini-USB to USB cable (it has 2 USB ports centered on the left edge of the monitor)
My calibration settings are
35 brightness
80 contrast
6500K sRGB
everything else default
